The Housing Authority has partnered with Affordable Housing in Stanislaus County > Search Rentals, which provides an enhanced program to list rental properties on line. Listings are available to potential Housing Choice Voucher tenants seeking apartment units, duplexes, single-family homes or townhomes in the private market.

Section 8 Application Update
If you have any changes to report please do it in writing, include your Name and Social Security Number, and if you have a copy of your application, included it as well. Please write Section 8 on the OUTSIDE of your envelope so it may be forwarded to the right department. If you would like to know if we received your application, and ask if the applications have been put into the system.

ATTENTION HOUSING CHOICE VOUCHER (SECTION 8) PARTICIPANTS
· Looking for employment and want to get off of cash-aid?
· Want to save money and build your assets?
· If your answer is YES, then consider enrolling into our voluntary Family Self- Sufficiency Program here at the Housing Authority.
· Once enrolled, a free savings account will be set up in your name, which will transform your income earnings increase into savings.
· As your family’s work earnings increase, the Housing Authority will deposit a percentage of the amount of the increased rental portion that you pay into a savings account.
· The savings may be used for example, to pay for college or vocational education, to purchase or repair a vehicle needed for work, to start a business, or to buy a home.
