Brighton Village

Built in 1998

Rentals were built by Modesto City Schools, City of Modesto and the Housing Authority of the County of Stanislaus in collaboration to build affordable housing in Modesto.

Two of these units were built by students, with the guidance of their instructors, and gave the students an opportunity to learn various trades in connection with building a home from the ground up and the sense of accomplishment that they achieved.

There are 11 – 3 bedroom duplex units with attached 1 ½ car garages, washer/dryer hookups, vaulted ceilings, and fenced yards.

The rent is $847.00 per month and a one month’s rent security deposit required.  Minimum occupancy is 3 persons and the maximum occupancy is 7 persons in the household.  Section 8 Vouchers are accepted.

The units are located behind Thomas Downey High School.
